Working alongside the Quest international internal design team, Valsave specified a radical redesign of the aging effluent treatment system.. The new system re used the existing effluent sump and balance tanks to reduce overall costs and deployed a new 20 m3 SCAFF unit with new feed pumps and pH correction system all controlled from a Siemens based control system. The control system integrated with the existing onsite SACADA system to allow remote plant management. A good reduction in pH and COD was achieved, along with significant solids removal, to bring the effluent outlet well within the tolerances required by local utilities
