Dissolved
Oxygen in Sewage Treatment Works. One
of the main considerations in aeration tanks at effluent treatment plants is
to ensure an adequate supply of oxygen is infused into the effluent for
optimum bacteriological activity. This
is achieved via aerator motors, by controlling how long the aerator motors
need to run by actually monitoring the dissolved oxygen levels, and turning
the motors on and off, saves a large expenditure. The
cost of installation is normally recovered in a very short period.
