GENERAL
DESCRIPTION.
The
series 308 mixer is fabricated in either clear PVC, which unlike other mixers,
allows for visual inspection of the mixed product, or in 304 / 316 stainless
steel.
All
series 308 mixers are made in standard 6 or 12 element configurations.
Additionally, all mixers are edge sealed to the inside of the housing.
The advantages of edge sealing are twofold. Not only does edge sealing
increase mixing efficiency, this bonding method also increases the structural
integrity of the entire mixer.
One
of the primary uses of the series 308 mixer is in the dilution of polymers and
flocculants. With proper blending it is quite common to recover the cost of a
mixer in a relatively short period of time due to the lower chemical usage
associated with better mixing.
